Cathy Beard earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Arizona State University. While a student at ASU, she was hired at KAET-TV, Arizona Public Broadcasting, as a Graphic Artist designing on-air media and KAET's program guide magazine.
Upon graduation from ASU, she was hired by KPHO-TV in Phoenix as Assistant Designer, producing station advertising, programming and promotional materials, set designs, on-air graphics and animation for commercials, news and programs including the famous Wallace & Ladmo Show.
She moved up to Art Director at KPNX-TV, NBC, managing all aspects of promotional graphics for news, community affairs, promotions and commercials. She developed full multi-media advertising campaign designs for key station programming and events including 12 Who Care, Buddy Check 12, and Lifesaver Saturday, garnering multiple Emmy Awards.
In 1993 "Cat" formed BobCat Studios with "Bob" Diepenbrock, beginning a successful two-decade collaboration.
She has won numerous service awards and served on the board of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, becoming Chairman of the Board in 2010.
Cat is currently producing designs for a variety of other resource sites. Through BobCat, she is a contributor to Dreamstime online stock photography with over 1500 background design patterns. She is the creator of over 1200 designs for Jamberry nail wraps (as Cathy Diepenbrock). She creates fashions and home furnishings for VIDA Fashions and most recently creates textile patterns for both Spoonflower and Sprout Patterns under the name Just Meewowy Design.
Outside of "BobCat," Cathy is currently writing a book she describes as a "spiritual thriller." She is also pursuing multiple audiobook narration and book design projects. Cat enjoys cooking, writing, movies, traveling, knitting and classic cars.
